GUIDANCE ON COMPLETING COMPETITION SCORECARDS

In order to lessen the risk of infection to members entering scores after competitions, and those responsible for checking cards and finalising results, the council has decided to introduce the following method of recording and returning scores.

• Swipe access to competitions is now essential, please ensure you use your membership card at the Pro Shop to facilitate competition entry. A scorecard shall be issued by the pro shop who will enter the member into the competition and receive payment (the preferred method of payment is contactless where possible).

• Each member should record the name of their playing partner on their card, who will be responsible for verbally verifying their score.  Please print their name clearly in the markers signature at the bottom of the card.

• Each member shall record their own score on the scorecard and the score of their playing partner by using the Markers Score column on the left of the scorecard.

• On completion of round each member shall verbally agree their score and that of their playing partner, then sign their card accordingly.  Under no circumstances should cards be swapped.

• Once scores are verified each member should input their score onto the ‘How Did I Do’ App or website. Scores must be entered to the app or website before 10pm on the date of the event, any cards not received by 10pm cannot be accepted. The R&A have approved that physical card returns are not required, so please personally retain your scorecard in case of any queries or disputes.

• Any member unable to access the ‘How Did I Do’ App should inform the Pro-shop on 02828583324 or the M&H Committee.

• Cards will also be accepted by Using WhatsApp and sending a photo of your scorecard to the following no. 07759714384.  This should be used by exception only and delivered by 10pm on the day of the event.
